Well, I decided that I need to post my trip report from Tunica, Miss. I was trying to go to Las Vegas but there was a shortage in seats on Delta, and I only fly Delta since Im a former employee and also since its based in Atlanta =) anyway, no seats = tunica for me!
I was unsure if I wanted to drive 6 hours for 2 days or if I wanted to fly and rent a car in Memphis, then drive 20 mins to Tunica. I checked the rental car places and found what I thought was a good deal until they informed me of the 150 dollar hold on my card until the car was returned. So I decided to drive and save the upfront money.
I left around 5ish pm Friday night, and arrived in Tunica about 1030 central time. My first stop was The Grand, which was the first casino with a poker room on the road anyway. I signed up for 4/8 limit and had to wait about 15 mins for a seat, not bad. I tried to buy in with $300 but the cage said $200 was the normal for 4/8. I sat down in the 8s and picked up KK first hand.Won a nice pot, guess the people thought I would be bluffing my first hand haha. So the second hand I got 98 clubs, and flopped 2 pair, turned a full..and stacked some chips..then I folded about 200 straight hands and decided to move to 2/5 nl when I saw a guy call a set of Aces down to the river with J6 off suite with 1 club and catch his 4 flush on the river.
2/5 nl was uneventful for me, and very frustrating. I usually play pretty tight and aggressive with my big hands. I folded about 15 hands when I first sat down, JJ came..I raised to 15. Three callers to the flop of 10 high, so I bet the pot. Everyone folded haha. That was the beginning of the end for my night of 2/5. I then flopped top set with 99, the board was 693 . I bet the pot again, 1 caller this time the turn was a 10. My opponent goes all in..I thought about it for 10 mins it seemed, finally calling hoping he has a set of 10s, but nope..he shows down 78o for a straight. The river was no help for me and I lost the pot. The last hand I played for the night I flopped a open ended straight flush draw, turned the flush, and river paired the board. I bet, my opponent raised, I called.he had A 3 o for a full house. I was down to about 85 dollars out of 225, so it wasnt as bad as it could have been, but it wasnt pretty!

Well, I havent written in a few days due to work and the kids..but my wife is still having pains and contractions and shes only 7 months. Just like with my daughter shes having a hard time again and lots of pain and soreness. I just hope she can hold on for at least another month and let that baby girl get bigger before she is ready to greet the world. If this baby is anything like my lil girl now, oh boy! My daughter amazes me everyday, shes 21 months going on 18!
On another note, I have finally figured out a way to get into the B&M and play some live poker. Last time I played I was way over my head but hopefully this time I will sit down @ 4/8 limit or 5/10 and actually play good poker and book a win, its been a long time since I had a winning session. This time Im off to Tunica, Miss. I am staying @ the Horseshoe and possibly the Gold Strike. I am definatly playing in the Gold Strike Saturday tourny. Well, I just got in from playing basketball so I need to shower, and hit the bed...One mo' day O' work!

Well, I have recovered from a computer crash that took me about 2 days to fix, but those two days were stretched out for over a week. My daughter has been sick with strep throat..my wife has been achy with the pregnancy, and I have been working lots of hours..so Im back writing another entry into blog..
My love for basketball has been killing my lately. I normally play about 2 days a week but this past week has been scortching here in Atlanta. It was 92 yesterday, and 90 today. I tried to play outside yesterday and only lasted about an hour before I had to retreat to shade and gatorade. I have been looking in to getting involved with an adult basketball league INDOORS.
Hmm, news from the poker world for me has been zero. I did get an email from PartyPoker asking me to return. They deposited 30 dollars into my account and I had to play 300 raked hands to withdraw it. After 300 hands I was up almost $200 so I cashed it out and left before someone hit quads on me. Thats about all for this post. Trying to get details on the flight benefits and hoping I can be at the bloggers tourny .Until next time.

Boring, boring

Just got in from work. Had an 11 hour day today..not what I want to be doing but until I finally get my A+ so I can find a computer tech job somewhere around here, it will do. Have to feed the family, right?
Nothing new on the poker front..though I talked to my friend Chris about getting Delta flight benefits again, see I worked for Delta for a little over 3 years, and since I relocated to North GA, the commute wasn't gonna happen. So that's where Chris comes in...what are friends for right? So as soon as I find out the info on the flights..then I can figure out when I heading back to Vegas, Tunica, or Southern Indiana again..I miss live action..and have practically given up on online poker. I thought Online was rigged, until those 4 Q's popped me =( Well, that's all for now..a few more mins of family time and then off to bed, 545 am will be here before you know it.

Well this is officially my first post and I would like to introduce myself. I am from Atlanta GA..Married and 27 years old. I have two kids (1 girl, 1 boy). I wanted to write a blog to share my life events as well as my poker related events, so here it goes.
I just recently took a trip to southern Indiana to the riverboat casino there. I left out on a Friday and the plans where to spend Saturday playing a lot of poker. I arrived at the casino around 4 am..yikes! The room was kinda dead with only 1 1/2 nl game going..I decided to sit down with max buy in of $300...the game was really tight with a lot of overbetting the flop and over raising preflop...I managed to win 1 hand in about 30 mins and left the table with $337 dollars.
I decided to stick around for another game, 10/20 limit with full kill..this was my first time actually playing limit, and for the stakes I was way in over my head haha...I bought in for $800 and sat around for a few rotations just to watch the action. Then the following hand occurred after a player had won two pots for the Kill...I was in the BB...two callers and 3 to the flop after everyone called the 20 extra to make it 40 to go. I had pocket 6's...the flop comes Q62 rainbow..I bet out 20..get two callers and a raise, I reraise..its capped. Next card is a blank for me, but I have middle set and thinking no one has a set..I bet out 40 and it gets capped again, the river is another Q and I bet out again, losing one player the lady left ends up with all her chips in the pot and I call..turning over my full house..she shows me quad Qs...for about $600. All I could say was "Wow"!
